Nestling in its own valley between the red Devon cliffs and hills, Sidmouth lies in an Area of Outstanding Beauty, at the head of Lyme Bay.
Its position makes it an ideal base for exploring Devon, Dorset and Somerset.

There are many wonderful walks both inland and along the coast, lying as it does on the South West Coastal Path, which makes Rock Cottage an ideal stopping-off point.

With spectacular views from the cliffs either side of the town, and the adjacent beaches, Sidmouth is a perfect place to relax.

It is renowned for its floral beauty with gardens such as Connaught Gardens providing a spectactular setting with the sea as a backdrop.
